For over a decade, Studio5 Architects has shaped the built environment of Zimbabwe — crafting buildings that are technically rigorous, contextually rooted, and designed with people at the centre of every decision.
Studio Five Architects is an Architectural Firm registered with the Architects Council of Zimbabwe. We are a growing full service architectural firm dedicated to the concept that architecture is a socially responsible and environmentally respectful pursuit. We believe that buildings are best when they express their purpose and interact sympathetically with their surroundings.
We believe our success is attributable to our attention to detail, technical experience, creativity, and true professionalism that we bring to every project.
Mission
To design buildings that enhance both the built and the natural environment. Through our diverse, highly qualified and innovative design team, we guarantee client satisfaction through provision of world class competitive design that corresponds with individual tastes and preferences.
Vision
To positively contribute to the architectural landscape of Zimbabwe and beyond.
We uphold the highest ethical standards in every project, every relationship, and every decision — with clients, contractors, and the communities we serve.
We push creative and technical boundaries, embracing new ideas and methods to deliver world-class design that is fresh, relevant, and forward-looking.
Architecture is a socially responsible and environmentally respectful pursuit. We design with the future in mind — for people, communities, and the planet.
We embrace contemporary design principles — creating buildings that are architecturally sophisticated, functionally excellent, and a reflection of their time.
We design for everyone. Our work considers diverse needs, individual tastes, and the full spectrum of the communities and clients we serve across Zimbabwe and beyond.

We offer a complete suite of architectural, design, and project management services — structured to give clients a single point of accountability from the earliest brief to occupation and beyond.
From the first sketch to the final inspection, we guide every project through concept, design development, documentation, and delivery — maintaining design integrity at every stage.
Interior spaces that balance function, beauty, and material honesty. We design environments that work intuitively — where the spatial experience feels effortless because every decision was deliberate.
Historic structures carry stories worth protecting. We work sensitively with existing fabric — respecting its character while finding ways to make it viable and relevant for the present day.
Great buildings need great settings. We design the spaces between and around structures — streets, courtyards, public plazas, and landscapes — with the same care as the buildings themselves.
The most valuable investment before breaking ground. We help clients understand what a site can carry, what planning constraints apply, and what a project will realistically cost — before a single commitment is made.
We act as your single point of accountability from procurement through to handover — managing contractors, controlling costs, and ensuring the building you receive matches the building you approved.
See Our ProcessStudio5 operates across the full range of building typologies in Zimbabwe. Our depth of experience across diverse sectors means we bring genuinely applicable precedent knowledge to every commission.
From carefully considered private homes to cluster housing and high-density developments — designed for the way people actually live.
Workplaces designed to attract, retain, and inspire — from Grade-A office towers to business parks and corporate headquarters.
Buildings that represent public institutions deserve a standard that reflects their importance — government facilities, embassies, courts, and civic centres that command civic respect.
Learning environments that encourage curiosity, focus, and wellbeing — schools, university facilities, libraries, and early childhood centres where children can thrive.
Healthcare facilities designed with patient dignity and clinical efficiency in equal measure — from rural health clinics to specialist medical centres and hospitals.
Hotels, lodges, and tourism facilities that are authentic to their setting — alongside sensitive restoration of Zimbabwe's historic and culturally significant structures.
Our process is structured, transparent, and deeply collaborative. From first contact to final handover, clients know exactly where their project stands and what comes next.
01
Every engagement starts with listening. We invest time in understanding not just the programme and budget, but the motivation and aspiration behind the project — because the best brief unlocks the best design.
02
We explore broadly before committing. Multiple design directions are tested against context, site, programme, and budget before we converge on the concept that best serves the brief.
03
The approved concept is developed into fully coordinated technical documentation. Clear, complete drawings reduce surprises on site — protecting both the design intent and the client's budget.
04
We manage the full tender process — pre-qualifying contractors, analysing submissions, and advising on appointment. The right contractor at the right price is as important to us as it is to the client.
05
Regular site inspections, proactive contract administration, and careful cost management ensure the building is built as designed — on time and within agreed parameters.
06
Handover is not the end of our relationship. Post-occupation reviews, defects management, and long-term availability to our clients reflect the lasting commitment we make to every project.
Studio5 invests in the communities and profession it serves — through pro-bono design work, university scholarships, environmental stewardship, and local procurement. Our social responsibility is not a report we publish once a year; it is a practice we live daily.
